Stroud Ute Show

Stroud Ute show is always a crowd favourite. We have something for everyone from BNS to street utes. There is something for everyone - be sure to come past and vote for your favourite - People's Choice Award. There is also a raffle - plenty of great prizes.
Saturday afternoon we head over to our Barrel Race Area where participants put their driving skills to work showing off for the crowd.
We end the day with our 'Sound Off' and who doesn't love the rumble of a 'UTE" and a light show display

Preserves

Do you have an abundance of Fruit and Vegetables? Then why not pull out those old recipe books and have a go at making some Jam, Jellies, Pickles or even that favourite sauce. Showcase your efforts and you might even win a prize.

Cookery

 

The cookery section is open to all levels of experience, whether you are a master baker in the kitchen or a learner starting out, there are a variety of classes for all levels from the little ones to the more experienced. Have some fun baking and creating, you never know your luck.

All entries will need to be completed online by 11am 8th April 2021 and received at the showground by 12 noon on 8th April tagged and ready for judging.

All exhibitors and general public are to vacate the pavilion when judging is in progress. The Pavilion will open following judging and completion of display.

Exhibits must be the bonafide work of the exhibitor. Exhibits cannot compete in more than one class. Cakes baked in ring tins or bar tins will not be accepted, unless stated in schedule. Do not ice sides of cakes or decorate with coconut or hundreds and thousands unless specified.

All exhibits/entries will be available for collection at the showground/pavilion between 4pm and 5pm Saturday 10th April or between 8am and 12 noon on Sunday 11th April from the Secretaries Office.

Photography

The photography section is open to all budding photographers, find that special snap, use your creative flare and enter for your chance to win. The classes range across all ages for a snapshot of the towns talent.

All entries will need to be completed online by 11am 8th April 2021 and received at the showground by 12 noon on 8th April tagged and ready for judging. The pavilion will be closed whilst judging takes place.

Exhibits must be the original work of the exhibitor. No photo can compete in more than one class. Photos must not have won a prize in previous Stroud Shows.

Photos must be mounted ON or BEHIND light-medium weight white/cream cardboard with a MAXIMUM overall size including photo and cardboard of 8″x10″ (20cm x 25cm). NO FRAMES, photos presented in frames or over size specifications will not be judged. Exhibitors are limited to THREE photographs in each class. Every reasonable care will be taken of exhibits, but the Committee will not be responsible for any losses or damages.

All exhibits/entries will be available for collection at the showground/pavilion between 4pm and 5pm Saturday 10th April or between 8am and 12 noon on Sunday 11th April from the Secretaries Office.

Needlework & craft

From the Pre schooler to the over 75 there is something in this section for everyone. So check out your craft stores, pullout those unfinished projects and let’s see them finished and showcased at our local show. You may even be rewarded for your creativity.

All exhibits/entries will be available for collection at the showground/pavilion between 4pm and 5pm Saturday 10th April or between 8am and 12 noon on Sunday 11th April from the Secretaries Office.

All work must be bonafide work of the exhibitor and to have been completed in the past 2 years. If for sale, please indicate price. Association will retain 10% commission.

Section 13 Needlework 2021

Fine Arts

Entries open online from Thursday 26th March or at the Secretaries Office from Tuesday 6th April 2021. Entries close Thursday 8th April at 11am and to be in the pavilion by 12 noon sharp. All exhibitors and general public are to vacate the pavilion when judging is in progress. Pavilion will close at 5.30pm Saturday 10th April and re-open for collection of items from the Secretaries Office on Sunday 11th April from 10am – 12 noon.

All paintings entered for Classes 1 & 2 must be framed ready for hanging and clearly marked on the back with artist’s name and address, class and price (if for sale). Works may be sold for indicated prices, with the Association retaining 10% commission. Title of work, media used & price on card attached to front of work. Bulk school entries close 1st April, 2021 (last day of Term 1). Individual entries close Thursday 8th April 2021 at 12 noon.
